December 2009

Wheew!!!!  The holidays!!!  Things have been crazy around here!  Sorry I have not updated in a while!  Since the last time, I have made up my mind that I am going to "cross train".  My horses love it!  I have always done a little of it once a week but I have started working with Davo an Aussie cowboy.  We are packing the boys out all over the place in addition to the normal routine stuff.  Makes for a happier horse and a harder working horse in the arena.  Just one of my many secrets :)  Dieter continues to come and help me train!!  Things are looking really positive!  Really looking forward to the new year!!

October 2009

OK, Dieter is the BEST!  He is so knowledgable, one of the most knowlegable trainers I have ever worked with.  I think we make a great team!  Together I think we can achieve great success.  That is the plan at least :)

September 2009

I got to see my horses go for the first time this week!  It was pretty amazing!  Both boys looked awesome!  I am so impressed with how lovely they are progressing.  I have to admit, I was REALLY impressed!!

August 2009

I am so lucky!  I have two VERY VERY nice young horses coming along.  I have to admit, I pushed everything a bit too quick in the beginning.  I only took over the ride on these horses at the end of May and rushed things a bit.  Looking back, I realized there was no need to rush and half-ass through everything.  I have all the time in the world!  Both horses are FABULOUS and will really be super stars when they are ready.  The key to that is being ready!  I have decided to not show this fall and winter season and to take the time to train and better prepare my horses for the 2010 show season.  Patience, patience!

Oh, and one more thing.  Started training with Dieter Riedinger this summer.  He has really really helped me a lot!  It is a bit different style of training from what I know and how I have been trained but combining the two has had amazing results!  It is so refreshing to be able to incorporate something new and tactful into my education and style of riding.  The best part is; its helping!  And the horses are going more correct and better than ever!

 JUNE 2009

Both stallions are doing AWESOME!  Richmond has done better and better each time out in the FEI 5yo classes.  At his last show he was scoring in the 80% range!  He is such a pleasure to be around and just beyond fabulous to ride!  Wilmington, my little trickster, had a kick butt show last weekend!  It was our first time out and his first show in several years!  He won both his classes and was so serious in the show ring!  Funny boy!  Check back for some GREAT pictures of Wimalinalinaloo.

Thank you to Robert Dover for helping me secure a fabulous sponsorship and TWO lovely young stallions to ride!  Thank you to Lucile, owner of Honey Locust Farm, for believing in me and giving me a chance to prove that I can accomplish my goals and dreams!  I am a happy and lucky girl!
